As a restaurant contractor, Fred Olivieri Construction Company has been building both P.F. Chang’s Bistro and P.F. Chang’s “To-Go” locations since 2019. We know going into these projects that it is going to be about a 20-week construction schedule for a full-site restaurant. Our sister company, MRO Built, is the major millwork supplier for all P.F. Chang’s nationally. Although the P.F. Chang’s concept we know today was not born until 1993, the beginnings go as far back as the early 1960’s with a woman named Cecilia Chiang. Her first Chinese restaurant was called “The Mandarin” and she found wild success serving celebrities like John Lennon and Yoko Uno in Beverly Hills. Fast forward to 1974 when Cecilia’s son, Philip, stepped in to run his mother’s restaurant for many years. In 1993, Philip Chiang partnered with restauranteur, Paul Fleming, to open the first ever P.F. Chang’s in Scottsdale, Arizona. Now, with over 300 locations worldwide, Fred Olivieri Construction is thrilled to be a small part of this successful franchise as the restaurant contractor of choice.
